Finding Balance in Perimenopause and Menopause with Qigong

Sunset over the ocean with a cloudy sky and tall grass in the foreground.

Flow into your second spring

An immersion designed for women who are ready to work with their changing body — not against it.

Perimenopause and menopause are not a breakdown. In Chinese medicine, they're a powerful transition — a shift from outward giving to inward nourishment. This intimate retreat uses classical Qigong to help you clear heat, calm the nervous system, restore Yin, and feel at home in your body again.

Held at a private oceanside villa on beautiful Vancouver Island, you'll practice morning and evening Qigong overlooking the ocean, share nourishing meals together at the villa, and share dinner at The Summer Kitchen a beloved local restaurant right next door. Pool, hot tub, flowering gardens, and eagles overhead- all yours for four days.

Intimate by design — just 8 women — so every session feels personal and every moment feels spacious. You'll leave with a daily home practice, a deeper understanding of Qigong, how Qigong supports hormonal health, and a community of women who truly get it.

Next date TBA, Will be in October or November 2026

The Cultivation of Life Force Energy

Qigong, is an ancient Chinese practice that combines deliberate movements, controlled breathing and meditation to cultivate and balance the body’s vital energy, known as “qi” or “chi.” This term “qi” refers to the life force or vital energy that flows through the body.

The practice of Qigong involves various physical postures, gentle movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. It aims to promote the flow of qi through the body’s energy channels or meridians, fostering harmony between body, mind and spirit. There is clinical evidence that this practice has significant health benefits such as improving vitality and decreasing bodily stress loads.

A Women’s Embodiment Retreat To Come Home To You

The practice of using a jade egg is taking time and space to create ritual and sacred space for yourself. In this world of vibrators and focus on getting off we can forget the beauty and pleasure of being present with ourselves with no agenda, body-mind and spirit. Where all of us are welcome. All emotions, all feelings and everything in between. In this world of get it done and get on to the next, the feminine body tends to get pushed to the side and then it is disease that slows us down.

Learning to pause and feel before this point is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. I teach this and I still struggle, I find the programming to be superwoman can be so strong! Yet what if being superwoman is actually slowing down, creating sacred space to feel and love you, to massage, to feel all of your feels as one of your superpowers, to feel whole and intune with your intuition and authenticity.

So often disease comes from being disconnected to heart and spirit. Slowing down to feel and listen to the wisdom that is within helps to reconnect and come home to heart and spirit. It is when we are home that we have more space to feel free to play, to dance, to laugh, to express pleasure for life!

A Guided Ritual of Release and Reconnection

Awaken the Wild Intelligence Within

There is a place within each of us that is untamed, alive, and deeply wise.

Beneath the layers of stress, expectations, old stories, and the ways we've learned to hold ourselves, our body remembers how to breathe, express, heal, and come alive.

The Primal Release Ritual is an invitation to return to that place.

Join me for an evening of somatic release, emotional liberation, and reconnection with your primal life force.

A safe, guided space to let the body express what it has been holding and reconnect with the deep vitality within.

Date: TBA
Time: 6pm-10pm
Location: Comox

This ritual will include breathwork, sound, movement, and guided primal release practices in a safe and supportive space.
